Clube Nautilus is on the beach at Armacao de Pera, Porches, about half way between Faro airport and Cape St Vincent (the end of the world, as the Portuguese call it).

The main part of Clube Nautilus is a complete circle, with other apartment blocks outside the circle. In the middle if the circle is a fantastic sun trap where the Clube's two swimming pools are - one being for smaller children.

The gardens between and around the Clube are beautiful, varied and exotic, giving individuality to each area.

We currently have 2 apartments at Clube Nautilus - a 3-bedroom apartment and a 2-bedroom apartment.

Each apartment has a double bedroom and a twin bedded room, fitted wardrobes and balconies. The 3-bedroom apartment has two double bedrooms. The master bedroom in each apartment has a full ensuite bathroom complete with a jacuzzi bath! The second bathroom is a shower/wc. Both apartments have air conditioning in the bedrooms.

The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, combined washer/dryer, microwave, brilliant marbled granite worksurfaces and a good amount of space to work in - if you really want to cook during your holiday, that is!

There is also of course a toaster, kettle, ironing board, iron, hair dryer - all those little things one takes for granted.

This is open plan into the spacious lounge/diner, which has a log fire if you're planning on being here during the cooler winter nights.

Here in the lounge we have a large sofas which opens into a two separate single beds. If we need to use one of these, we place it in a separate part of the lounge as a "permanent" bed leaving the main sofa still as a sofa!

The dining tables can comfortably accommodate 6 people in the T2 apartment and 8 in the T3. The lounge also is also equipped with satellite TV and DVD/CD player.

The balconies are small, the T2 having balconies leading from bedroom two and the lounge where there is a small table and chairs - there is also a bit of a sea view from this balcony. The T3 apartment has two balconies leading from the lounge, although the one to the side is rarely used. Again there is a table and chairs on the main balcony.

Clube Nautilus has its own private entrance to the beach - which is golden sands for miles in both directions. There are 3 cafe/restaurants on the beach as well as numerous within walking distance down the road into Armacao de Pera.

Armacao de Pera is just a few minutes walk down the road, along the coast. Here, if you're wanting nightlife, you'll find a good choice. As the town is along the coast as well, any noise generating from these night establishments is blown further inland, leaving Clube Nautilus neatly cocooned giving it a serene and peaceful atmosphere. You're just not aware of the amount of activity going on just a few minutes away in the centre of town!

Clube Nautilus is ideal if you have small children and want to be on the beach. It is also ideal if you have teenagers, or older, who want a spicier holiday - you can let them walk into town without fear.

There is no need for car hire at these apartments unless you specifically wish to travel around the Algarve.

If you decide to hire a car while you're here to investigate more of what the Algarve has to offer, you may like to drive up into the hills where you'll find the towns of Loulé, Alte, Messines and Silves, all of which are full of history and local charm. Just driving around the hills offers ample opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of the countryside and the gentle pace of life existing away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and the tourist resorts.

Along the coast are the more popular tourist attractions - including Krazy World - which boasts a great swimming pool with a couple of shallow pools for very small children, extremely krazy golf, a zoo, pony rides, a children's funfair and those really great trampolines where you bounce sky high but are safely harnessed.

There are also a number of water parks, popular ones include Aqualand at Porches, and Slide n' Splash at Lagoa/Carvoeiro.

Zoomarine is near Albufeira and is another superb day out - and it's here that you can swim with the dolphins!

Please note - the prices for T2 are for 4 people, and the T3 for 6 people.

However - for 4 people (2 bedrooms) in the T3 please deduct £50 a week

An additional charge of £30 per person per week is payable for additional people.
