Vista dos Barcos is wonderfully placed on the coast at Alvor. Unless you particularly want to travel around and see other parts of the Algarve, you don't need to have a car - well, that's saved you some money for a start!

This lovely apartment overlook the fishermen's boats, nets and some good looking yachts. Also opposite is a sports complex with a heated indoor pool, tennis courts, all weather football pitch, tennis practice wall, and basketball practice nets and just outside and behind the sports complex (Complexo Desportivo de Alvor) is a great skate boarding area.

Vista dos Barcos is spacious and furnished to a high standard.

The apartment is a lovely one bedroom apartment. The bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. The living/diner has a sofa bed and a chair bed. This apartment provides a choice of sleeping arrangements and can cater for up to 2 adults and up to 3 children.

The apartment has a full bathroom.

There is a built-in safe deposit box in the bedroom. The lounge/diner is furnished with a sofas, cable television, dvd player, cd/cassette/radio. The kitchen is fully kitted out with large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dish washer, microwave and full cooker.

The apartment is also fully air conditioned.

Vista dos Barcos is on a residential complex, which makes it a peaceful location. There is a swimming pool and a jacuzzi plus a large sun terrace.

There is an underground car park and an above ground car park. A lift and staircases lead from the underground car park to the first floor, where these apartments are situated. There are ramps by the side of the other steps on the complex making it a suitable location for wheelchair users.

A car is not necessary here as the beach (with wheelchair accessibility) is a couple of minutes' walk from the apartment. There are also cafes, restaurants and a mini market just up the road from the complex. We can arrange taxi to and from the airport. However, should you want to get out and about, we can help with car hire.

All in all, Vista dos Barcos is just a great place to come for a holiday!


	Complexo Desportivo de Alvor

The Sports Complex is open from 9am to 1pm and again from 3pm to 8.15pm. Saturday hours are 9am to 12 noon and from 3pm to 6pm, closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Swimming caps must be worn.

Tennis courts can be hired at €4.09 an hour in daylight and €6.13 an hour when lights are required. A racket and 4 balls can be hired for €1.00.

The basketball net can be used at any time at no cost - bring your own ball! Likewise the tennis practice wall can be used at no cost - bring your own raquet and ball or hire them from the complex.

If you decide to hire a car while you're here to investigate more of what the Algarve has to offer, you may like to drive up into the hills where you'll find the towns of Loulé, Alte, Messines and Silves, all of which are full of history and local charm. Just driving around the hills offers ample opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of the countryside and the gentle pace of life existing away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and the tourist resorts.

Along the coast are the more popular tourist attractions - including Krazy World - which boasts a great swimming pool with a couple of shallow pools for very small children, extremely krazy golf, a zoo, pony rides, a children's funfair and those really great trampolines where you bounce sky high but are safely harnessed.

There are also a number of water parks, popular ones include Aqualand at Porches, and Slide n' Splash at Lagoa/Carvoeiro.

Zoomarine is near Albufeira and is another superb day out - and it's here that you can swim with the dolphins!
