Apartment Alporchinhos is close to the beach at Armacao de Pera, Porches, about half way between Faro airport and Cape St Vincent (the end of the world, as the Portuguese call it).

It's a traditional Portuguese apartment with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with the full bathroom between them.

The living/diner is spacious and has a dining table and chairs plus sofa and a couple of easy chairs. The television has Portuguese channels only but there is a dvd player so don't forget to bring your favourite dvds with you!

The kitchen is fully equipped with full cooker, fridge/freezer, and microwave.

Leading from the living/diner is the terrace with an outside table and chairs.

The apartment also has a large roof terrace so there's plenty of opportunity to get a really good sun tan on your holiday this year.

The apartment is on the ground floor with just one apartment above it. The grounds are well laid out bushes spotted around the grassed areas.

There is a lovely family swimming pool and a smaller one for young children.

The apartment is less than a 5-minute walk to the nearest beach and perhaps another couple to a second beach.
On the corner of the road is a good supermarket, and a choice of restaurants are also closeby.

Down the road, still within easy walking distance, is Armacao de Pera. Here you'll find yet another beach of golden sands. As with most other beaches, there are cafes and restaurants on the beach.

Armacao de Pera itself has a good choice of cafes and restaurants as well as nightlife for those wanting just that bit more from their beach holiday.

If you decide to hire a car while you're here to investigate more of what the Algarve has to offer, you may like to drive up into the hills where you'll find the towns of Loulé, Alte, Messines and Silves, all of which are full of history and local charm. Just driving around the hills offers ample opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of the countryside and the gentle pace of life existing away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and the tourist resorts.

Along the coast are the more popular tourist attractions - including Krazy World - which boasts a great swimming pool with a couple of shallow pools for very small children, extremely krazy golf, a zoo, pony rides, a children's funfair and those really great trampolines where you bounce sky high but are safely harnessed.

There are also a number of water parks, popular ones include Aqualand at Porches, and Slide n' Splash at Lagoa/Carvoeiro.

Zoomarine is near Albufeira and is another superb day out - and it's here that you can swim with the dolphins!
